I was driving a friend's TM4 2006 with about 600 miles on it and one of the rubber fuse holders on the electricial panel melted and started smoking. The engine died and when the key was turned on the fuse holder continued to melt? The car had to be towed back to the house.
Is anyone aware of a similar problem or problems with the rubber fuse holders.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Richard,
It does not appear that this forum is being moderated by anyone remotely connected to TOMCAR, so it does not suprise me that nobody has responded.
I too just experienced an electrical problem with my rather new TOMCAR, but I will probably have to search elsewhere for an answer.

I had also experienced the same problem last week. I think every user using this car is having such problem. The Production Department of Tomcar should take this prob in the consideration at high priority and try to resolve it.

Thanks for your questions, they will be al reviewed and a message will be sent, if you bought those from a dealer, they have a solution for you, it seems that you bought those USED so how can you judge the company, every owner can experience many different things, and perhaps these units have not been serviced at their proper intervals, we have no such problems at TOMCAR CANADA YET so please let me know the information such as Dealer, Serial number, date of purchase, and I will do all I can to inform you.

Does anyone know when a master electrician is required. We had heard from somewhere that a Master Electrician is required to be on site to overlook electrical work and programs. I do not see this in any regs. Does anyone know if this seems true and where it is documented?

My understanding is that there was a problem on some of the older vehicles. From what I understand you should have two heavy inline fuses under the front cover. I have 3 Tomcars and all of mine have this.

Call Tech support at Tom Car. Give then the Vin # and they will send you a updated fuse kit. I had to do this with two of my cars. There was no charge and it fixed problem
