What is the worst terrain you've ever taken your Tomcar through and how did you make it out?

My worst terrain experience was while driving the Tomcar on a hill. I was pretty new at that time and I have to put it as a worst driving experience rather than a terrain one. I found it difficult to control the Tomcar however my uncle controlled it like a pro.

Dropped the front end in a deep mud hole, winch is mounted at front about 2 inches higher than hood. Dug out winch from mud, bare handed, tried for 2 hrs to winch out, broke winch at the spool trying to winch up and out, bent tierod end hard. Pulled out backward by three quads, wrapped up loose winch line, synthetic, fixed tierod end and finnished the trip out the way we came in! Still lots of fun!

Wow-seems like you really had a bad trip with your Tomcar that day.
I wonder, if anything was broken at your Tomcar.
Did you have to replace anything or is the Tomcar still working fine?

I find that if I'm on a hill or steep terrain that I'm not familiar with, it can be pretty scary. One wrong turn and you could end up flipping the vehicle.

The worst terrain that I had with my Tomcar was also in a hill. Me and my friend camped there. And when we we're about to go home, a strong rain came. The terrain just became so muddy and the small rivers where we've gone through are now rough too. It was dangerous actually and we're glad we made it through.

Lots of washing, nothing broke, cleaned out brakes, ball joints, field fix on tie rod end was 1/4 inch out, took the opportunity to drain and fill rear final drive cases. Been out since and going again!

I would have taken that the same way.
If you canīt handle a road once- go out and try it again.
Just solve the problem.

Part of the fun of driving a Tomcar is really seeing how much it can handle. Why buy an off road vehicle if you can't take it off road to see what it's really made of?

Have a real nice hill out where we go. Lots of 2foot rock steps, mine climbs like a mountain goat in low gear, it never bogs or cuts out and this set of hills is steep. Its the highlight of the trip, ( rookies bring clean underwear ) Its not to say things cant go wrong, we climbed one hill which was a switchback and going up the last switch the belt heated and started to slip. Had to get off the go peddle! We rolled backwards, braking helped, when we stopped about 20 feet later the front driverside came up in the air about 3 feet. Was tense but rested the belt a couple minutes and hit it again. No slip and over the top! I dont worry about flipping this unit. It will, but you will have to push it pretty hard.
