What Tomcar really is

Guess what. Tomcar was originally built for the Israel Defence Forces. It just happened that it was well-built that they developed it into a sports car. That is why it has those strong features, because the Tomcar was really built to be driven in the battlefield. How nice huh?

Most of the best all terrain vehicles were first for military only.
Think of the Jeep, Hummer or Landrover, they all have the same history. Being build for military first and then were sold to the ordinary people.

Yes according to my knowledge the Tom car was first made for the military and then for the ordinary public.

Its now even used as a police car in off road sectors of the country. Specially those police that are guarding wild life sanctuaries. Since Tomcar is great for off-road travels, the government have now decided to use them as police cars as well.

What I'd like to know is how different is the consumer version of the Tomcar compared to the original version built for the Israeli military. I know with the Hummer, there have been some changes for the consumer market. Same with the Jeep and Landrover.

I have also read about this vehicle being used in very purposefully in the military and border security force of its built nature. Now, it is indeed become a SUV and a great vehicle to have use it in off road conditions like mountaineering and all.

I don't think its any different from the consumer version of the TOMCAR. Its still the same like others. Good thing they've thought of using it as patrol cars though. Those wild-life policemen really needs a good SUV to catch those that are abusing it.

We seem to a have of very similar posts here, all saying the same thing. Definitely, though, this is a good vehicle for rugged areas and with the military toughness, it's going to get drivers around safely.

One difference of the original from those publicly distributed is its capacity to carry passengers,the original tomcar only accommodates two passengers and their equipment.

Yes willy.. you are right.. I have seen the original Tomcar.. you can go out with your friends on a Tomcar.. that will be a thrilling ride.

The picture made this description really realistic. You can actually visualize what is really the feature of the model discussed. This model is indeed for an out land adventure with buddies all aboard.

The feature of this tomcar to carry passengers makes one to love this model. You got to share it with some of your pals to have some trips to unexplored territories.

Well the safety of the one riding this car and the passengers depends on the driver. I would love it though if the maker of tomcar can make a way to make the car sealed or something. Not to put an air-con but to make it more safe to sleep in at night.

For me you couldn't still say that you are safe with a safe drive because there might still be some crazy drivers out there with you on the road which you will encounter. The safety built of this cars are engineered for the occasion of using it off-road. So it is still really safe if something really happens.

Yeah but what I'm thinking is a seal or cover design for our Tomcar so that when we're camping or in an off road travel it's be safer to sleep on it. You wouldn't want a snake to suddenly slip under you seat while sleeping right? That's just what I want it for.

Well I'm new here, but not to Tomcars. The military version has a larger ( Subaru if believe ) engine, A/C, 5 spd tranny and can get to 75 plus mph all while armor plated. An additional nice touch is the machine gun mount - wish I had one on mine!
