Default Passengers

Since the TM4 has room for four passengers, I was wondering what it was like for people to ride in the back of one of these. I'd imagine it would be pretty bumpy since the Tomcar isn't exactly designed with smoothness in mind, but more for work or hard playing.

I had never thought of this. I always used to drive so I never had the chance of experiencing this. However I could tell that it would be very bumpy and might need some patience to sit there.

It is a bit rougher, But a lot smoother than you would think. The rear suspension eats up the bumps very well. I have been in the back seat of mine a few times, everybody wants to drive, its a nice ride.

Buffaloman, my hats off to you for letting someone else drive while you sit in the back. Not sure I'd be so nice. But it's also good to know that riding in the back isn't as bad as it could be.

If you can ride a jeep or a motorcycle, I'm sure a Tomcar would be easy to handle. A little bumpiness is part of the attraction in my opinion. That's adventure riding. ;}

Default Riding in the back

On the contrary, the ride in the back is as smooth as the ride in the front, and with a 21" travel on the front AND rear suspension, the rear ride is quite smooth.

I usually run Strawberry Trail at about 35 - 40 MPH, it actually is smoother going over the rocky areas (about 4" to 6" rocks) at 35 MPH than it is at 10 MPH. My rear passengers are always "amazed" at the ride.

Its not really that bad riding at the back passenger seat of a TM-4. You'll get the same experience when in driving or passenger seat in front you know.

Hi takatenamano! How can you say that riding at the back of this vehicle is the same as sitting at the passenger's and driver's seat? For me, I will really choose to sit at the back. I will definitely experience more fun at the back.

I think that its the same as well. The only difference is that you're in the back but the seats are still the same. Unless you put another kind of seat of course. Ha ha ha!
