Default Sand Dunes "Glamis"

I took my TM-2 to the Dunes. I turned the back tires around and had 5-psi in them, and I had 15-psi in the front tires. The Tomcar is alot of fun to drive on hard packed soil, but in the sand it performs very bad. On flat sand you can get around just fine, but on the hills it will get stuck. I ended up just using it near the camp site on the flat land. The suspension performed great on the big bumps and whoops. Next time I go out, it will be in the Rough stuff and hard pack soil area's where it performs the best! I'm ready to go out again!!!!!

hummer1: sounds like a good time. I thought the tm-2 would do better in the sand? the stock tires are 10 ply, they don't go flat. I thougth the turning them around would work. I still would like to try my tm-4 with the 8 ply tires in the Big sand. I tryed to run my stock tires at Rocky Point,Mex. but got stock a lot also. thats how i found out that letting the air out did not work for me. We need to go for a ride!!! later.

Hey Joe, I think your right. in time I will purchase tires with more flex. I aired down to 5-psi and the tires still looked like they had 50-psi in them. Most of the guys at Glamis said different tires would make the Tomcar perform better in the sand. Lets get together soon. I would like to run broken Arrow in Sedona, Az. Are there any good tire that you can recomend using the stock wheels
